Faux brick is made to look as authentic as possible and is available in a variety of materials. The type you choose may depend on where you will use the brick look, what surface it will be applied to, and how much you want to spend on your project.

The composition of the false brick varies a lot. Plastics such as polypropylene and polyurethane, recycled products of all kinds, and even recycled paper and cardboard are used. Panels are generally designed to interlock. Panels have the brick style, color and pattern along with the mortar on the panel and are ready for installation. There are many styles to choose from. However, these bricks are much lighter and can be used where a conventional brick application can be prohibitive.

If you’re feeling creative, there are brick panels that are white or transparent. These panels are painted in any color and style you choose. You may already have the brick in place. These panels can be painted to match.

Recycled paper and cardboard is another option, lightweight and less expensive. These panels come ready to install and paint. Just add paint and creativity. A great choice for stages. The panels can be treated to make them waterproof for a longer life.

Full-size bricks are made from a wide variety of recycled materials. Some of the materials come from manufacturing waste, recycled plastics, and ceramic waste. Great for the environment, they are strong and light. A good option where full size bricks are needed.
