Tech which makes Sense

I used to get really obsessed with people stealing my content online.

In fact, after all the time, money, and effort I put into my site and products, I used to get mad at the thought of someone stealing my stuff.

Until I talked to a marketing genius named Jay Conrad Levinson, who figured out a way to make money off of people stealing his stuff.

Now, if you don’t know who Jay Conrad Levinson is, let’s just say he’s one of the most prolific and intelligent marketers in the world, with testimonials to prove it. He is the guy who started all the “guerrilla” books you see in all the bookstores like “Guerrilla Marketing”, “Guerrilla Advertising”, etc.

And when I asked him what he does when people steal ideas or content, he tells me this:

“I don’t spend time in court. I never sue anyone. I encourage anyone who wants to copy me, and by doing so, I’ve grown the guerrilla marketing brand to the point where it’s in 39 languages, which means, Michael, I don’t understand 38 editions of my own book.”

In fact, Jay sometimes even calls out the people who are scamming him and compliments them on their taste in the guerilla marketing pick.

And not only that, but even offers them discounts on books or membership to their association.

I don’t know about you, but that really changed my attitude about having my intellectual property stolen.

And it’s something to think about the next time you think someone is scamming you and you really can’t do anything to stop it.
