Tech which makes Sense

BloodRayne is seductively different from other games. The character in this game, Rayne, has dressed very provocatively and has a body that would draw attention, but that’s not what makes this game special. Many games have women who wear revealing clothing. What gives this character and this game a more sexual feel is that she is part vampire. Vampires have often been portrayed in a sexual light due to the intimacy shared between vampire and victim during feeding. This game incorporates a sexually charged female character as the heroine and gives it a kind of horror movie feel with all the creatures Rayne has to fight. Any woman who can kick butt while wearing almost nothing is a great video game character.

BoodRayne is about a sexy half human half vampire who is working to rid the world of supernatural activity caused by black magic. She was recruited and receives orders from a secret agency. Throughout the game, Agent Rayne contacts this agency to update them on her progress and receive new orders. Since Agent Rayne is only half vampire, she does not share the same weaknesses as full vampires, however, she must be careful around water and sunlight. This is especially difficult in the first part of the game that takes place in the swamps of Louisiana.

Agent Rayne is sent to the swamps of Louisiana in the 1930s to kill zombies and giant spiders. His goal is to clear the swamp of all the nests of giant spiders so that there is no more reproduction of this abomination. This part of the game drags on a bit, but if you can hang in there, the action continues in the next area she’s sent to.

Five years after the Louisiana mission ends, Agent Rayne receives new orders from the agency to eliminate the Nazis due to the work they are doing with black magic. His goal is to find the laboratory where these experiments are being carried out and put an end to them. This area is a lot of fun to play because Agent Rayne runs into some really creepy monsters.

Agent Rayne gains many abilities as the game progresses which adds a lot of flavor to the gameplay. He can see enemies through walls and is guided by a red light to targets him. This helps with navigation through difficult areas where it is easy to get lost. Agent Rayne can also move super fast to dodge incoming bullets. This move works great when there are a dozen enemies shooting at you at once. Then there’s the blood rage that builds up while she’s kicking butt. This bar will fill up so you can use your super attack which increases the amount of damage it deals to the enemy.

Personally, my favorite part of the game is that Agent Rayne can feed on any of her enemies; when she feeds her life increases and the enemy’s life decreases. Jumping on an enemy and feeding when there’s a lot of gunfire works really well because you can use the person as a shield against bullets. As Agent Rayne feeds, she makes some very sexy moans that let you know how much she’s enjoying it.

Agent Rayne comes equipped with knives and swords to take down enemies; attacks with these swords can be really creepy. He can slash his victim to death, behead them, or even propel them; all are equally bloody. Blood splatters all the walls, all the floors, basically everywhere and they stay there even after you leave the area, helping you know if you’ve been to that area before. Agent Rayne can also pick up lost weapons. These are very easy to use as all you have to do is lock and shoot. Weapons are useful when you are outnumbered.

The graphics are decent; each of the new areas it enters are equally interesting and look very realistic. The camera, on the other hand, can get stuck at times and usually the only way to fix it is to restart the game. The player can interact with almost anything in the game, for example a desk can be broken, objects thrown, and curtains ripped, which produces a very realistic ripping sound.

This game is quite long, but on the plus side, the game is relatively easy, so flying through it should be a piece of cake. One thing to keep in mind is that it starts off pretty slow and boring, but the further you progress through the game, the more interesting it becomes. I would recommend giving it a go if you have the time to spend playing it.
