Tech which makes Sense

I recently received an email from a fan asking me about a fairly new product called “Fresh Balls”. I heard about this product before but didn’t really pay attention because I knew that Balla Powder is the most superior product for keeping balls dry. However, I decided to do some research on Research on Fresh Balls and see what all the fuss is about.

Fresh Balls is a deodorant cream that you apply to your hand and then apply to the area you would like to keep clean. This is all well and good, but it’s not the most pleasant experience if you want to use it to keep your butt area clean and fresh. I don’t see applying that directly by hand as a pleasant experience during your morning routine. So I think Balla Powder definitely beats Fresh Balls in this area.

The next thing I looked at was the ingredients in the Fresh Balls and compared them to the ingredients in the Balla Powder. So here are the two ingredients side by side.

Balla Powder Ingredients: Talc, Zinc Oxide, Zinc Stearate, Fragrance.

Fresh Balls Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Ethyl Macadamiate, Tapioca Starch, Carbomer, Coconut Caprylate/Caprate, Polysorbate-60 (Plant Derived), Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate (Natural Preservative), Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Acryloyl Copolymer Sodium Dimethyl Taurate, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylene Diamine, Squalane, Vena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin (Plant-Derived Preservative), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil .

By comparing the ingredient list, you can see that Balla Powder is a very simple formula with ingredients you can pronounce. The Fresh Balls ingredient list looks like the ingredient list of a science experiment. The only saving grace on the ingredient list is that they have aloe in the mix. Aloe is never a bad thing.

My general line of thought is that if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, you must not be comfortable applying it to your testicles every morning. Very few cosmetic or bath based products have been FDA approved and neither our Balla Powder nor Fresh Balls. But if I were to apply a product to my testicles and genital area, I would definitely use the one with ingredients I can pronounce that have been used for centuries to keep people dry (talc).

The next comparison between these two drying and deodorant products for men is the price. How much do Freach Balls and Balla Powder cost compared to each other?

Fresh Balls: $14.99 for 3 oz ($5 per oz)

Balla Powder – $14.99 for 3.5 oz ($4.29 per oz)

So, based on price, both fresh balls and powdered Balla are pretty similar in price (powdered Balla balls are slightly cheaper per ounce).

But the net weight of the products can be misleading. 3 oz of liquid will not last as long as 3.5 oz of powder. Considering that you will probably use less than a gram per use when applying Ball Powder, I can say with enough confidence that you will get many more applications with a tube of Ball Powder than you will with a tube of Fresh Balls.

The following comparison of these two men’s products is how they work to keep you dry. I will keep this comparison short. I have used Ball Powder for years living in a hot humid climate (Florida) and Ball Powder has never let me down. I am always dry and fresh throughout the day. So I have no need to try Fresh Balls.

As a side note, I will not apply any product to such an important part of my body (Balls) with ingredients I cannot pronounce or spell. Since the FDA does not review or approve deodorant-based products, neither Fresh Balls nor Ball Powder have been reviewed or approved. So while I was choosing a product to keep my kids and my butt dry and cool all day, I chose the product that has simple natural ingredients and works perfectly.

Winner – Balla Powder for a landslide!
