Tech which makes Sense

When I walked through the doors, my head went pitch black. “Should I take another step?” I asked myself: “Will I be able to defeat all the stones and blocks that are thrown at me? Will I be able to survive?” I asked myself these questions when I was about to take that big step. My friends called this place a prison where you had to fight to survive; using all the skills you have acquired in your life. By taking that faithful step; I completely forgot who I was, I had to run; He had to learn to fight, he had to win; I had to survive.

Being a student at Loyola Jesuit College has taught me one thing and that is to have courage, determination and guts. We, as students, face many challenges; the many rules that you have to follow, the tasks that you have to fulfill, the class exercises that are given to us and, above all, the many problems that you may encounter that can lead to severe punishments such as suspension.

As a student, you not only have to learn to be disciplined, you have to learn to organize your schedule to suit the many activities you have. Also, there are many associations or organizations to join. As a student, you also need to take time to participate in your association activities so that you can express your different talents in many ways; Sports teams, liturgical associations, service program, and many more.

One thing that students don’t realize is that LJC provides us with a well-rounded education. An education that allows us to express our talents in many ways; sing, dance, play sports, etc. It also teaches us to anticipate academic excellence; to be able to dedicate ourselves to our studies. This is the result of the good teachers who come our way, who are endowed with patience and zeal to sit down and explain things to us for clear understanding.

Above all, LJC teaches us about survival, to become the best of ourselves, bet on the “MAGIS”, achieve our goals and always be happy at all times. We also have the opportunity to build a strong relationship with God through the Mass we attend every day and the various religious associations that come our way.

The above stream of thought is normally the stream of thought of almost all students in school. We must learn that we do not come to LJC to survive, but to receive a comprehensive education that is beneficial not only to ourselves, but also to our community that we are going to serve and Nigeria as a whole. We must see our school as what we become our best at and allow for our goals if possible.

May God continue to bless us, our school and Nigeria.
