Maybe you know the song Would you be happier from the Corrs? In this article, I take apart some of the letters and shed some light on them to cheer you up. I pray that you will be as blessed when you read it as I was blessed to write it.
Before I take the CORRS song apart and add my perspective, let me share a verse with you, that if you are a practicing Christian and fully understand it, then many of your worries should cease. Meditate on it as we talk about this song.

Ok let’s get started
Have you ever wondered where the story ends and how it all started, I do (I do, I do, I do, I do)
Have you ever been so caught up in life that you forgot much of your past? Have you had a past that had a little or a lot of pain and today you cannot remember what really happened in those days of your youth? The other day I was in a prayer ministry counseling session and I really needed the Holy Spirit to boost my memories as I had blocked them.
How did your life start? What are the wounds in your life? Do you have any idea how the story is going to end? You know that the above scripture promises you as a child of God that God will work for good everything that has happened in your life if you continue in His ways and His plans.
Did you ever dream that you were the movie star with popcorn in hand, I did (I did, I did, I did)
I don’t know if you go to the movies as much as I do, but I’m a guy who likes to escape life in the movies and live the life of on-screen actors. I often put myself in the shoes of one of the characters while sipping a large coke. I don’t eat popcorn because my teeth get stuck.
Now we all like to get away and watch bad news on TV and read it in Newspapers as it allows us to escape. Personally, I don’t watch the news very often, but I like to get away with my favorite TV dramas. If only we could be the movie star, everything would be fine.
Did you ever think that you are someone else inside, when no one understands that you are (are)?
It used to surprise me thinking that if people knew who I was and what I really am, then they would really like me and I would be my friend. My life has been a life without many friends and my life is in the process of healing and soon with God’s help everything will change. Writing articles makes me happy to communicate with many people.
Why do we hide our true selves from people?
What are we afraid of?
What are we hiding from?
And I want to disappear into a dream but I never want to wake up, wake up uuuuuup
When life sucks all the energy out of you, sometimes you wish you could actually go to sleep and wake up in heaven. For those of you who are not Christians, I’m not sure what you might wake up to or where you think you are going when you die, but no matter what your belief is, sometimes it would be just as good to just go to sleep, get into a dream, and go to sleep. another world where the pain, the struggle and the difficulties of life simply did not exist.
So you trip over tomorrow and you trip over today
But we go to sleep and wake up and it’s tomorrow and we stumble again on that day.
Jesus Christ brought Life to earth, but very few people remain in Jesus Christ. So many people are part of His body of believers, but so few have the peace of His living within them and the concerns of the world are nothing and life is simple.
Life never seems to be simple, but when we know that every bad thing we have done, every time we stumble, every time we stumble upon sin, we can be forgiven and God can do something good, life takes on another meaning. When a 20 year old sex addiction can be forgiven and the yoke of slavery to that way of life can be severed from my life and I can bear witness to a pure life, it is a good story to encourage other brothers and sisters. Suddenly all my despair can bear fruit as it gives others hope that they too can overcome the temptations and sins that beset me.
This is a very encouraging verse
1 John 1: 9 (New International Version) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Everything means ALL sin from which we can be cleansed and delivered.
(Chorus) Would you be happier if you were someone together? Many of us are living broken lives that have been broken by abusive parents or partners or something that has put us astray. Many of us are like Humpty trash cans that all kings, horses and men, could not put back together.
But wouldn’t life be easier if you were someone who had it all together?
Would the sun shine brighter if you played a bigger role?
These are the eternal questions. If we had a better husband or wife, a better house, a better car, or a better church, life would be easier. If we had more meaning in life, would the sun shine brighter every morning?
Some people who have it all together do not seem to know sadness and depression.
I was comforted one day when in Proverbs he said: “With great wisdom comes great pain.” I understand this pain when I look at the state of this world and the state of the church playing God and not saving the lost.
Would you be wonderful if it weren’t for the weather?
People’s moods can be affected by the weather. I live in Australia and I don’t live near the UK where it rains a lot so I’m happy about that.
Would you be happier if every day was sunny with a light rain at night to keep the plants happy, but when you were safe at home out of the weather?
God is the Maker of the good times and allows the bad times. We have to be able to praise him in both.
You gon ‘be alright (you gon’ be alright)
Here are a few fabulous verses that say the same thing to a person who wants to follow the Lord with all his heart and get out of the bondage of sin and its lies.
Jeremiah 29: 11-13 (New International Version) New International Version (NIV) 11 Because I know the plans I have for you, “declares the LORD,” plans to prosper and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come to pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. If you seek God and seek His help and walk according to His ways, life will turn out well.
Aren’t you afraid to tell your story now, when the whole world’s done, it’s too late (too late, too late)
In life we have to raise our hands. In life we have to go for it and for the prize. When everyone has left the building, this is not the time to get up and share your story. It’s time if you have a wound that you can’t fix, seek out good prayer counselors, tell your story of pain, and let God heal you.
Was everything you ever said or did not the way you planned?
It’s terrible when life doesn’t go according to plan. We cannot all be rich with the best homes, the best partners, and the perfect children. Something has to go wrong and we can be sure that God will be there when things have not gone according to plan. But we can be sure of this.

So you promised that tomorrow will be different from today.
If things haven’t been going well until today, it’s time to make plans to change that. It has taken me nine months to get back to my third counseling session. Sessions one and two were good but I was a little scared. So I took some time and God continued to work on me and now I went back to counseling and one of my pastors prophesied that this time God would cleanse me and heal me completely.
So I’m going to stick counseling with these to the Holy Spirit-led prayer counselors and let God do His work in me. I promised that my tomorrow will be different from my today. And you?

You are racing for tomorrow, you are not done with today.
We do not deal with today. We don’t deal with yesterday. We live in the hurts of the past and carry them into the confusion of tomorrow. We are all in this crazy paced society running for more of the world, more money, more stuff, more fun. But you don’t live in today. Not living in the moment. We have to deal with yesterday and its pains in order to sit back and fully live in the moment.
