Tech which makes Sense

Last month a very good article came out in one of the most important scientific journals, one of those that are found on bookstore shelves with articles aimed at the general public. The article talked about a special device that you could put on your head that had electrodes on it, and those electrodes would stimulate the left side of your brain, while de-stimulating the right side. This would make your brain use more of its creative abilities instead of its analytical attributes.

For someone who is very interested in the creative field, this could be a boon in helping you overcome writer’s block or get your creative flow running at an extremely high rate. In other words, not only would the individual have blood flow to that part of the brain, but the neurons would also fire continuously. As the coordinator of a think tank operating on the Internet, this seems like an incredible concept to me. However, it also seems pretty scary, because there are so many things that can go wrong, and since it hasn’t been tested before, there could be complications and unwanted long-term mental health effects.

The last thing you want to do is fuck with your brain, and that’s the last organ you want to have major problems with. Would I personally use something like this? Well, this topic came up when I was discussing it with an acquaintance. The answer is yes, I would use it after others have tried it first and some long term studies have been done. Yeah, I’m also one of those who don’t like to use a cell phone, because I don’t think flooding my brain with microwaves is such a good idea. In other words, I don’t want to cook my brain today.

Next, it would be interesting for me to challenge someone who was using the thing to see who could be more creative. In other words, could you keep up with my creativity if you wore the cap? And I wonder if someone whose neurons were stimulated on the left side of the brain is the one who came up with this creative concept in the first place. After all, you have to admit that this is a very innovative idea and a good creative innovation.

My only question is; Is it safe to use? Now, my fears may be exaggerated, and it may be perfectly fine, but unfortunately, I don’t want to be the first guinea pig to try it. I guess others are testing it in the lab and have come to the conclusion that this brain cap works very well for stimulating creativity. But if you put the limit the other way, it could also stimulate mathematicians to solve problems that humans couldn’t previously solve using the right side of the brain.

Today, I give you more questions than answers, but that’s what I’m good at, creative people always have the best questions. In fact, I hope you will please consider all of this and set your thinking cap early and often.
