The problem of rehabilitation of homeless people (IDP) in Pakistan

In recent weeks, most of the NGOs seem to show their active participation in the human disaster caused by the military attacks against the militants that caused the mass displacement in the districts of Swat, Bajur, Dir and Bunir. Very few of these organizations demonstrated to work for humanity in real spirit. However, many of them, especially local organizations, just pretend to be the well-wishers of humanity and do nothing. Their occult designs have not been for the upliftment of humanity, but only to wrest black money on behalf of these IDPs. The job still requires a pull strategy, proper management and planning, and good control.

IDPs outside the camps also need special attention.

Most of the total number of displaced persons has taken refuge with host families. They have started to live with their family, friends and others or in temporary shelters such as schools and other public and private buildings. Very few have rented houses. Both in the camps and with the host families have faced serious problems. Those who stay with host families have often suffered less access to any material help. In addition, they had problems with their registration. Transportation and accommodation problems in the town have not only disturbed the family life of the neighbors and their businesses, but psychological illnesses have been seen in these people. This town was already mired in poverty and other shortcomings of various equipment. Hosts often have their problems in multiples.

Due to generous accommodation aid, this human disaster could only be overcome, but public, national and international assistance, aid and donations are also crucially needed.

Very fast strategies and measures are strongly recommended by the public and the government to improve the locality and its mixed residents.

Low standard of living in the camps.

In the current camps (more than 20) in the districts of Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda and Peshawar, some 250,000 displaced people live with enormous problems of health, water, food, sanitation and many other difficulties. Efforts by various organizations on a humanitarian basis are plausible, but they have been far less than the necessary amount of effort and are far from the international standards required in such cases. The hot climate, the scarcity of drinking water and the problem of food and shelter have caused a very unsatisfactory situation in the camps. The disorganization and randomness that is observed in the management and leadership of governmental and non-governmental organizations has increased the tension and misery of this town.

Unsanitary conditions and a lack of medical facilities are also multiplying the challenges for the health and protection of these people.

The nominal involvement of the Provincial Government and NGOs in IDP learning and education programs shows that they do not take this great loss of humanity seriously.

The humanitarian response of Pakistani nationals

Although the Government; from NWFP backed by the Federal Government; he brags about his so-called fights declaring them very effective. But misalignment, faulty planning, and missed measures and steps have further caused the all-consuming problems of mismanagement, inaccessibility, and corruption in addressing the displacement problem. The part of both the government and the NGOs can change the deplorable situation if they are honest, sincere, dedicated and committed in a real sense with the spirit of humanity. The government and other societies must motivate the civil citizens and work together in an organized way for the best solution of the problem. They must make future planning a valid and effective strategy to deal with this type of disaster. It is very sad that most governing bodies and providers are playing double standard hypocritical games. The very few activities and insufficient efforts of most of the NGOs and government officials have often ended up only in photo shoots just for the press and media to show their fake activities to international donors where they want to get loot from. , not for the needy poor. but for their own luxuries. They just look busy and do nothing because there is nothing effective as they claim. If the communities of the world do not extend their helping hands to these people in the very sense of humanity, then such disasters cannot be successfully managed.

Also, global donors should take practical steps and make a check and balance audit program that can investigate and verify the loophole and control the misappropriation. They should physically inspect all those NGOs that receive donations from international organizations. They must be treated with an iron fist in accordance with international law to prevent them from doing injustice to suffering humanity.

In Pakistan, a nuclear power, effective preparedness strategies to handle such calamities and disasters are still lacking. Unfortunately, when destruction comes, planning and strategies are planned after. The most deplorable factor that has always devoured the entire nation is the ignorance of very basic things by the entire nation because we are always victims of rumors and lies. As a nation, Pakistanis are very strong, brave, hospitable, friendly and devoted, but their political leaders have always fooled them like their pipers. Now the time has come to take very substantial steps to save the nation from the great disaster.
